You've Got DNA. But Vendors Have Taken Over The Investigation.
Most agencies think FGG is something “only a lab can do.”
But here’s the truth:
It’s a police investigation.
Just like DUI. The lab gives you data. You solve the case.
Instead, vendors are charging $8K–$25K per case, controlling everything, and giving you back vague leads, or worse, nothing.
You can’t afford to wait months or get it wrong.

About Christine Burke:
In 2017, I wasn’t a biologist. I wasn’t a lab tech.
I was a retired homicide detective who uncovered the truth about my own identity—using DNA.
Since then, I’ve solved real cases using forensic genetic genealogy (FGG).
Not in theory. Not in a lab. In actual investigations.
I’m a retired police sergeant with over 25 years of investigative experience, and I’ve trained law enforcement nationwide on how to bring FGG in-house—just like you did with NIBIN, CODIS, and AFIS.
The problem is: most agencies are still outsourcing these cases to vendors who don’t understand your case, your suspect, or your standard of proof.
I created the GGLE Academy™ and the HELIX Method™ to change that.
Because FGG isn’t a lab project.
It’s a police investigation—with DNA as the tool, not the answer.
You already know how to solve cases. I’ll help you apply that same mindset to this method—so you can clear more cases faster and protect your agency from costly mistakes.
Taught by Christine Burke, a retired police sergeant and certified forensic genetic genealogist who solved her own case and now helps agencies like yours do the same.

You wouldn’t outsource your homicide investigation.
Don’t outsource this either.
Every day that passes is a day justice waits.
You don’t need more reports—you need results.
This is for law enforcement personnel only.
Detectives ready to bring DNA investigation back in-house
Cold case teams needing fast, effective solutions
Agencies tired of wasting money and getting poor results from vendors
Anyone who’s used CODIS/NIBIN/AFIS and wants to add this next-gen tool
No. This is an investigative course. You’ll learn what you need to know to investigate your case, similar to a DUI...You conduct the investigation but you send lab work out.
This course is exclusively for sworn or approved law enforcement personnel, including:
Investigators
Prosecutors
Medical examiners or coroners
Verification may be required. Please be sure to REGISTER using your agency email.
To complete the course and participate fully in the training, you’ll need:
✅ An active Ancestry.com World Explorer subscription for the duration of the program. (We are not affiliated with Ancestry.com.)
✅ A laptop or desktop computer. Dual monitors are strongly recommended.
✅ Stable internet connection capable of file downloads/uploads and database access.
✅ Ability to create family trees and maintain secure investigation folders.
✅ Optional: ProTools subscription for Ancestry (recommended for advanced tree building).
You’ll have full access to course materials for the lifetime of the program.
After your cohort ends, graduates have the option to continue with ongoing access, advanced case discussions, and additional support through the Field Training paid membership, where you’ll receive continued guidance as you apply these methods in real-world casework.
This program is not currently POST- or IADLEST-certified in its current format, but I am a certified instructor with both.
If your agency or state requires approval, I’m happy to work with you to submit the course for review. You’ll need to provide the appropriate forms or requirements in advance, ideally before your cohort begins.
Many agencies can secure in-service credit or POST recognition with proper documentation—we’re glad to support that process.
Yes — group licensing is available for departments of any size. Flexible enrollment options for teams of 5 or more.

Yes — Field Training membership provides continued case support for agencies handling live investigations.
The certification program is built specifically for law enforcement schedules, which often involve shifts, court duty, case demands, and varying agency operations. Supervised Capstone Case review ensures application and proficiency without requiring live attendance.
